About the scheme

The Medicinal Plants Business Centre (MPBC) scheme of the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), Ministry of AYUSH, strengthens post-harvest management, storage, value addition and marketing for medicinal plants.

Each approved project sets up 1 Central MPBC and 4 Peripheral MPBCs within the same State, covering the full chain from raw-material receipt to quality-tested, packaged output.

Subsidy & Financial Assistance

How much you can get

Back-ended grant-in-aid of 40% of project cost, up to a maximum of ₹5 crore on a total project cost of ₹12.50 crore. The grant splits as ₹2.60 crore for the Central MPBC and ₹2.40 crore across four Peripheral MPBCs (₹60 lakh each), released in two instalments of 50%.
