The subsidy
Multi-product irradiation units — integrated with cold chain and value-addition infrastructure — attract grant-in-aid of 35% in general areas and 50% in difficult areas. Details are on our Food Irradiation Unit page.
Why it matters for exporters
Irradiation is often a precondition for exporting mangoes and other produce to markets like the USA. Combined with an integrated cold chain and APEDA export assistance, it can transform an exporter's competitiveness.
Who can apply and how
